West Sussex, England— Between rounds of the Forumula D circuit, top driver Matt Field and the Drift Cave team snuck away last summer to show the UK what the Weddle S5-equipped C8 Corvette was made of. The Drift Cave C8 made its European debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The event was held over four days at the Goodwood Estate in West Sussex. A celebration of all things motorsport, Goodwood presented the perfect venue to showcase the C8's capabilities internationally.

Ready for the world. What started as a water-logged salvage, Matt and team spent 2025 taking the C8 on a string of demos across North America. Confident the Weddle S-5 gearbox could withstand LS power, 1000 hp clutch kicks, and handbrake dumps at 9000 rpm, the C8 was ready for the world.

First competition, first win. In September, Matt Field returned from the LZ World Tour event at Castle Combe Circuit in Chippenham, England, with a win under his belt. It was Matt's first time competing in his Weddle S5-equipped C8 Corvette Drift Car.
